Cheapest 7 seater is why. You can get one (before incentives) for $23k. I think all of the competition is like $30k.

LMAO... Every multi-franchise CJDR dealer just turns customers towards the other make when they want to trade in their 200/dart for another small 4-door sedan. My dealer sold a lot of Jettas to past 200 owners and I’m sure other dealers have the same thing going on.

They’re great for rental fleets. Cheap and disposable.

Everyone else nailed it. I’ll just say that if I had not had such a pain in the ass Chrysler ownership experience due to my Dart, I would have bought one for my wife, because she wanted a 7-seater SUV.
For the same $23k I got her a 2007 Acura MDX that’s gonna wear my patience out.

They should make a Journey SRT. That might have a chance of being amusing, as opposed to the cynical marketing exercise that is the Edge ST.
edit: TIL they made the Journey with a diesel and manual transmission for European markets.

Oddly, the 200's sales weren’t all that bad, until the company pulled back on advertising and started making negative public comments regarding its future.
The Dart’s market performance was consistently disappointing, no matter how you look at it.

It’s because they never stopped believing, and because you can order it any way you want it.

Yup. They know what the masses want (or are able to tolerate for a week at a time in Orlando.)

LOL Fleet is another thing they lost. I just can’t wrap my head around it. Why would they just drop an entire segment? I understand the SUV and crossovers are booming, but you can’t expect that some that was in love with their 200 (That’s another thing I can’t wrap my head around), just trade it in for a 300. Some may bite on the crossover, but many are going to get another small 4 door car.
